Originally trained in electronics by the US Navy, John Carpenter became a recognized pioneer of Smart Manufacturing with the development of the world's first wireless DNC connection to a machine tool in 2001. His vision transformed how manufacturers approach machine connectivity and data collection. After joining Macdac Engineering in 1997, John established WireFreeCNC in 2002 to continue advancing wireless technology in manufacturing environments. Under his leadership, the company was featured on the front cover of Modern Machine Shop in 2006 and eventually re-launched as Excellerant in 2018. John's deep understanding of both electronics and manufacturing challenges has shaped Excellerant's mission to simplify manufacturing technology for facilities of all sizes.
